Business Process Improvement (BPI) is a systematic approach to looking at the functions and inner-workings of a business and making changes to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. As a management approach, Business Process Improvement is a universal practice which can be applied to any organisation of any size.
Our 1-day Business Process Improvement course provides begins with an introduction to the definition and benefits of BPI, before looking at how to document processes and identify requirements and stakeholders by using process mapping. It then looks at how to apply improvements and internal controls to measure success and feedback and create a Continuous Improvement Plan using this. The course concludes with a look at some key BPI methodologies, including Lean and Total Quality Management (TQM).
By the end, delegates will have knowledge of a range of methodologies for identifying and improving ineffective business processes, training them to be knowledgeable practitioners who are able to skilfully redesign and make adjustments. The methodical approach BPI takes make it the ideal partner to quality improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma which focus on eliminating waste.
