Six Sigma is used to generate increased production and sales by enhancing product improvement methodology, doing innovations and improving customer relations. When a product is being mass produced defects shall occur and there would be no dearth of opportunities for it to occur. A yield which has only 3.4 defects per million opportunities is deemed near perfect. The Six Sigma Training will lay lot of stress on the statistics component of Six Sigma.

Since Six Sigma addresses the needs of the customers in that it is the feedback received from them that sets the top management thinking that defect does really exist. The process thereafter proceeds to involve all the operational processes and procedures to identify the reason for occurrence of defect. This improves all the processes that come under scanner of Six Sigma.  Hence, Six Sigma is termed as a management methodology. As a matter of fact if you compound the matrix and methodology of Six Sigma the product can easily be termed as a complete management package.
