Six Sigma is a methodology that comprises of various tools and techniques for process improvement. It was developed and introduced by Motorola in the year 1981. The main objective of a Six Sigma is to enhance the quality of services and processes by eliminating the reasons for defects. Six Sigma methodology based on two sub methodologies i.e. DMAIC process (define, measure, analyse, improve, control) emphasise to improve the existing system and DMADV process (define, measure, analyse, design, verify) focuses to introduce an improved system.
