A statistical approach to quality control which gives a near perfect yield in manufacturing or a flawless service in a service oriented operation is Six Sigma. Six Sigma Training is meant to train you in the skill of providing improvement techniques which can give such a highly accurate production that it has only 3.4 defective items in a million produced. 

Six Sigma projects are mostly teamwork because a large number of employees get involved with a Six Sigma project. Plenty of time and money is spent on the Six Sigma projects because these projects tend to remove any anomalies in manufacturing or other processes so that a near perfect yield can be achieved. A near perfect yield caters to the customer needs and many times these voices of customers serve to enlighten the top management about the kind of quality required by the customers. Six Sigma projects are carefully chosen so that the utilisation of vital financial resources and manpower are fully justified and that the improvements affected bring in the desired revenue. All these factors spell the success of Six Sigma.

The Six Sigma Training is imparted to various levels of managers and the employees as all of them play different roles to identify the defect, suggest different modifications and then affect the desired changes to bring about the improvement in the business processes. The technical training, the manufacturing process training and analyses training are the different types of Six Sigma Training catering to the needs of the customers. These employees are called Green belts and they receive a week’s Six Sigma Training.

The role of the Green Belts is to assist the Black Belts who receive a four week’s Six Sigma Training spread over a period of four months. They learn about Six Sigma tools like process mapping, cause and effect diagrams, designing of experiments and mistake proofing. After a week’s training, the black belts work on a Six Sigma project for a period of one month. They are thus given more OJT to gain practical experience. Six Sigma Course covers all types of Six Sigma tools to achieve Zero defect output.

Master Black belts are specially chosen to assist the Black and Green Belts to achieve their Six Sigma targets. They offer support to these two teams by removing any obstacle on their way. The Project Champions are the managerial level employees and they help the top management in identifying the Six Sigma projects. The Six Sigma projects are chosen on the basis that there will at least 70% reduction in the defect rate and bring in huge revenue and have a clear link to and potential for enhancing customer satisfaction.  A Six Sigma Certification gets you the responsibility for choosing a project and progressing customer satisfaction. Six Sigma Training trains you to give a zero-defect, near-perfect yield.
